'The Anatomy of a Crisis: Surviving the Norsk Hydro ransomware attack'

We often hear, “It’s not if, it’s when”. And in today’s interconnected world, the threat of a cyber attack looms large, posing serious risks to businesses, organisations, and individuals alike.

The consequences of falling victim to such seismic events are always disruptive and often devastating, ranging from financial losses to reputational damage and even threats to national security.

One of the most notable examples is the ransomware attack on global aluminum producer Norsk Hydro. This cyber assault disabled 22,000 computers across 170 sites in 40 countries, forcing the company’s 35,000 employees to revert to pen and paper.

During this session, we’ll hear direct testimony from the former CIO on what happened and how to prepare for future crises, whilst sharing insights and practical guidance on fortifying your digital defences and mitigating the impacts of cyber assaults.

So why not Join RANT & our proud partner ISTARI as we discuss lessons learned, hear directly from practitioners who have lived through it, and come away with a plan of action if – or when – it should happen to you.
